Excellent. Just excellent.
I hesitated about buying this because it's a bit pricy for a single-purpose, single-use coffee cup.But I really love iced coffee -- and hate diluted and muddy water.Even experienced baristas seem to have trouble making a cup of iced coffee that isn't so watered down by melted ice that it's worthless. So I tried it -- and guess what?! Perfect iced coffee. It even makes a thin layer of frosty ice in the edges. The inner cup is stainless steel and pretty much indestructible. (Zoku makes an all-plastic version of this cup for making slushies out of kool-ade or soda or whatever -- but it certainly would not work for piping hot liquids....)The lid has a silicone gasket that keeps it secure and sealed, and another on the lip where the straw fits -- the cup removes from the outer colored-plastic sleeve for freezing and so the sleeve can be washed. It's true that it makes a relatively small serving. If you're looking for a Big Gulp or a Super-Size-Me cup of iced coffee, this is not the cup for you. But if you drink your coffee one cup at a time, and like the idea of a treat-cup -- then this is an excellent choice. I usually make my cup of coffee (or chai) in a pyrex 1c measuring cup -- add my sweet and my milk/half-and-half -- and then pour it into the cup. That way, the "hot coffee" is already cooled down a bit and takes a shorter time to chill. Wonderful for a chilled matcha latte.

Most versatile mug ever
If I put my hot coffee in it and then swirl my coffee around, I have iced cold coffee in minutes. If I forget it and leave it for 15 min, my coffee turns into ice. lol. So this is great if you don't like to wait very long for iced coffee. Takes up a lot less space in the freezer than the coldwave or the hyperchiller. If you're looking to leave your coffee inside for a while before drinking it, it might be better to leave the cup in the fridge or maybe turn the temp down on your freezer so that your coffee cools down more slowly and doesn't turn to ice, but I personally love, love, LOVE that I can get nice iced cold coffee so soon after putting it in. When I've left it in too long, I've even discovered that iced slushy coffee is actually really yummy. If you have a long spoon you can also make your own home made ice creams in this. So it's really versatile. I haven't tried to use it as a hot drinks tumbler, but I imagine if you don't freeze it you could probably use it to keep hot drinks hot too? I love it. It's definitely heavier than most tumblers and only takes about 11 ounces of coffee at a time. That's a perfect amount for me, but ymmv.

Works great
I ordered one of these and it works so well I ordered another. Chills my husbands coffee quickly. Sometimes to the point he has to wiggle the straw around to “unfreeze” it.

Just ordered a second one!
I bought a teal one. It is so nice, my wife made me order the purple one. Yes, it does have a smaller capacity, but it is very effective. A larger capacity would mean a much bigger container. Think about any of those high end coolers (like a Yeti). They have very thick walls. Their capacity is much smaller than a cooler with the same sized outer dimensions. My work around is this: When you fill it, put it back into the freezer for about 5-10 minutes. That helps keep the frozen part colder while it cools the coffee. I happen to used refrigerated creamer so that helps too. I can get two full mugs and still cool the second one. This product definitely meets my expectations. It's a great way to have nice cold coffee on the cheap. One must relax and enjoy it for what it is :)

Such a waste of $30 I spent on this
Instructions state that one freezes the insert for 8 hrs minimum. I tired and the coffee remained hot. I then tried 12 hours and 24 hours of freeze time. The hot coffee never chilled. All 3 times it was almost room temperature. For $30 I expected it to work. It is a metal insert with a plastic handling cup and cap and straw. You are better off sticking your hot coffee in the frig for several hours, then add ice.

Not 11oz…
This only holds 8oz and then if it’s full, you cannot use the lid because it suctions inside the cup vs screwing on. It works, great concept, awful execution and misleading info on holding 11oz. Makes the coffee cold, but way overpriced for its faults.

fits under my nespresso machine!
i had another brand chiller and because it was plastic it kept cracking. this chiller is awesome as it’s more sturdy, fits under my nespresso machine and fits exactly 1 cup of coffee from a pod. it’s not large but fits approx 8 oz which is fine as that’s the size of my pods. after about 5 mins of the hot coffee sitting in this chiller the coffee starts to become slush at the bottom. love that i don’t have to water down my coffee with ice cubes anymore. hoping it lasts a long time.
