I love kithcenaid products so this played a major role in my choice. It is well made but the garlic does get stuck in the crevices which is a slight pain.this seemed to be an issue with most brands, I just keep a toothpick near by and that takes care of the issue. I don't put things like this in my dishwasher, I was by hand which I would advise. I have had it for a few months and mine looks brand new which amazes me because I use it a lot. I give it 4 stars because I do need to use toothpicks to clean it.

We had this for 13 years before having to replace it. My wife cooks every meal from scratch and we have used this coutless times. Highly recommend it. When you consider how long this lasted.

The grip and weight of this tool are great. The removable basket is helpful for ease of cleaning, and I love that the whole thing is dishwasher safe. Sometimes garlic does leak out the top or get stuck in a paper-thin layer inside the basket, but even with those little issues it is so much faster than mincing the garlic by hand - and no more smelly fingers afterward!

This did the job but after a few months the handle got loose and water got in. Will buy a one piece set next.

Update 7/30/25: I discovered that this has the removable baskit. Guess it was stuck in there and I didn't know it. Good press! Buy it!I had the older Kitchenaide garlic press with the removable basket. Much easier toclean. Alas, that little basket went missing. Thought this would have same design. My fault for not looking more closely at the description. It still functions just fine. Just takes a little more effort to clean. Still, a good value.
