Made my room so humid it set off the fire alarm. Great device
I have had this humidifier for 3 years and it is the BEST humidifier I have ever used! I only use it over the Fall, Winter, and Spring. Over the summer I clean it out and pack it away. It sits offline all summer and every time I go set it back up it just reconnects to the Wi-Fi and app and does not skip a beat. I have never had to reset/repair this device. It's smart features are extremally reliable. More reliable than most of my other smart home tech.As far as functionality goes this thing is nice and cool and super quiet. It also can crank out a ton of water! For example, you can set this device to turn off once the room humidity level reaches a certain point and adjust the speed. The other night I set it to max speed and disabled that limit so it would run all night. Something I do not usually do. Something else I do not usually do is close the bedroom door at night but that night it was closed. At 2am I was awoken by my bedroom fire alarm and my room was all hazy. It was so humid in the room it had looked like I was in a rain forest. The level of humidly in the room was almost 80% according to the humidifier. We live in MN and this month is super dry. If the fact this little guy put out so much water that it set off my fire alarm at 2am does not sell you, than I do not know what well. Would buy again. 10/10.

Effective and unobtrusive
Absolutely silent. Clouds of vapor. Easy to fill and reasonably easy to clean. Phone app control works well and is easy to use.

Just about perfect, but leaking after two weeks use
Update: discovered the leak issue was apparently my mistake. I had moved the humidifier a few inches by picking it up by the water reservoir indented handles. Apparently this was enough to break the pressure seal between the tank and the base. Took the unit apart, checked the float, which was operating fine, and refilled the humidifier. Marked the water level with a crayon and left it in the kitchen sink overnight. Leak had stopped and no water lost. This was operator error on my part. If you have moved your humidifier when water is in the reservoir using the indented handles, there is a risk of leaks developing around the water reservoir and the base. As precaution, I placed a dollar store cake storage pan under the humidifier just in case. Changing my review to five stars. Very happy with the quiet operation, ease of cleaning, affordable replacement filters, and it's ability to raise humidity in our 12' x 15' family room.Purchased four of this model as I trust the brand. Two were sent as gifts, and two are in our home. One began leaking two weeks from purchase. We are adults,no pets, humidifier is on the carpet and stays there. We don't walk through that area. Use soft water only and clean it every few days. Will contact Levoit. We absolutely love the compact shape, easy to clean, basic design. It is quiet and made a great difference in the humidity comfort level. It really does cover the square footage claimed. Other than it leaks, we really like it, but am hesitant to replace the leaking one with the same model. We also bought two Levoit bedroom humidifiers, round 2 liters, and they are fantastic.

Finicky but does the job!
I’ve had this humidifier for just over a year with very few issues. It is very easy to set up and operate and the app is very helpful and easy to use. It’s extremely quiet - I cannot hear it running at all unless I’m right next to it and even then it’s an incredibly faint sound. I’ve found that the tank holds enough water to last about one full day of continuous use.Cleaning the humidifier is very tedious, though. Lots of little pieces and difficult-to-reach nooks and crannies that get dirty and full of gunk fairly quickly. The tiny brush provided in the box won’t be enough to clean the entire machine. I’ve found that a pipe cleaner brush and a rubber bottle brush both help a LOT, in addition to some cotton swabs to really reach in the tiny corners. If you wait too long between cleanings, the mist output will decrease and you’ll notice it won’t be rising as high as it normally would.I live in Chicago in a third floor apartment that uses central heat, so the climate here tends to be on the drier side except during the summer. I set the humidifier to 58% to try to provide some moisture to my plant collection without overusing the machine. It does a pretty good job of maintaining the humidity even though it’s in a very large, open room. The sensor seems to be the only thing giving me any sort of trouble. Immediately after cleaning, it’ll read the room at some absurd percentage like 85% or whatever. I’ve found that cranking up the mist output as high as it will go will cause the sensor to slowly return to normal and then I can put the settings back to where they usually are. I’ve also noticed in the last month or so (after a year of regular use) that the sensor will drastically drop from 58% to 39%, back to 50%, down to 45%, and so on and so forth within a matter of minutes. I’m not sure if those readings are accurate or if there’s something wrong with the sensor.I’d definitely recommend this product to anyone who needs a mid-sized, affordable humidifier but has time and dedication to keep it clean. If you can’t dedicate 15 minutes per week to cleaning this humidifier, find a different option or you’ll be misting mold all over your home.

Big improvement in humidifier design.
Very efficient humidifier. We have a very large bedroom. I didn't think I would like the phone app much but was surprised how convenient it is to have. I like the auto-shut off when the humidity gets 5% over target level. I filled the unit 4 days ago when it was pretty dry outside (I live in New Mexico, we do DRY very well). Some weather moved in and I still have 2/3 tank full since the humidity rose. My old humifier had to be filled twice a day regardless of weather. This model is much smarter and incredibly more efficient. I think it nebulizes the water to a finer mist so we get more humidity per liter. The night light is a nice touch (and you can turn it off with your phone, convenient when you're in bed and quite a distance from the unit)
