The panels perform well seem durable and are flexible. I’m very pleased with them. They fit the bill for my application. Small amounts of shade do not seem to significantly impact the panels’ output, unlike some i’ve used.I needed low-profile flexible panels to fit on my truck’s topper, between the roof racks. The size of the panels are a perfect fit, and allow 2 to be installed on my roof. I wanted the installation to be easily removable, but to also easily handle highway speeds without me worrying about panels flying off. Utilizing the grommets on the panels allowed me to use M6 tee nuts and M6 machine screws and 1” M6 threaded plastic knobs to hold the panels in place. The grommet placement on the 2 panels I received were identical. I fit the machine screws through holes drilled in the topper. The screws (and large washers) are on the inside of the topper, with the tee nuts on the outside. The screws and nuts are snugly tightened, which allows the plastic knobs to be loosened and tightened without someone inside the topper holding a screwdriver to keep the screws from loosening. I used RTV to seal the holes, which also helps hold the screws and nuts in place without turning. I’ve used similar combos on truck toppers for 30+ years and have never had water leaks.I also attached heavy duty velcro around the edges of the panels, and attached velcro to the topper. The velcro alone holds the panels very well, but I wanted more security for highway speeds, hence the tee nuts and machine screws. I also put a “carbon fiber” looking vinyl wrap on the topper where the panels fit, for abrasion protection. Insulation can be placed under the panels to insulate the topper from the panels, which can get hot. 5 mm foam insulation is what I use.

The 100 watt panel works well. I measured 5.9 amps being produced in full sun.Pros:5.9 amps measured current5 year material warranty, 25 year power output warranty. Nobody else even comes close to that.Connectors look solid and well fastened to panel.Cons, which are minor:Has a textured surface, supposedly to catch the light better. May be harder to clean.7 inches longer than Renogy's prior version of a flexible panel.Has one long and one short connector wire. Long wire should be about 2 inches longer so matchesshort wire length when both wires routed to short wire side.For those of you measuring watts produced, be aware that the specs say 5.29 amps at 18.9 volts (surprising thatI measured 5.9 amps) 5.29 amps × 18.9 volts = 100 watts. But if you have a PWM solar controller, it just chopsoff the volts above 14.4 or whatever your controller max voltage is, and you just lose it. An MPPT controller willconvert some of the extra voltage to amps, but it's not 100 percent efficient.Edit: After a few months it's down to 5.3 amps.

I originally purchased a 200 watt Goal Zero briefcase but it is too bulky and heavy for me to use so I purchased 2 of the 100 watt Renogy flexible monocrystalline panels based on the good reviews here on Amazon. With the goal zero 200 watt briefcase, the most I got was 127 watts. The Renogy set gave 157 watts max (but that was with the MPPT charge controller) though they mostly hovered around the 140's watt input which I think is pretty good. I tried just one panel plugged into the standard charger (without the MPPT charge controller) and it actually pulled 61 watts at one point but then dropped and hovered around 50-55 watts. This was about 4pm, Mid August, in Sunny San Diego. I'm happy with the purchase because they are so lightweight and they work pretty darn good so far on this first day trying it out in the backyard. The only thing I don't understand is why Renogy made the positive cables so short. As they are, I cannot lay the panels side by side unless they are head to head on the short side of their rectangular shape. I will have to purchase some type of extension cable. Why in the world do they make them this way? I wonder if I will lose wattage after installing the extension cable. All in all, I am satisfied with this purchase and if they hold up over time, I will purchase again. Mine came with 3 grommets along each side of the panels, a total of 6 grommets on each panel.
